Clare has nearly 20 years of experience working in and with the NHS, specialising in primary care support and development.
She started her career in the NHS as a Practice Manager in a large training practice in South East London. She moved on to work in various Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), undertaking a wide variety of work including; clinical pathway redesign, primary care, community and mental health commissioning together with general practice development.
Clare was the Chief Executive of a GP Federation in London. She took the company from its inception through to it becoming a large, well-established provider offering a multitude of services.
In 2021 she returned to commissioning at NHS South East London CGG as Head of Primary Care, working across South East London supporting PCNs and practices in their development in addition to leading on contracting and commissioning issues.
She is in a unique position of understanding not only general practice, PCN and Federation operations but also how commissioning works and the requirements of national contracts and specifications and how commissioners implement those.
